1960 Johnson Super Seahorse 75hp

Our customer Dave Drew sent us these photos and story about his 1960 Johnson Super Seahorse 75hp on a 1961 Starcraft Safari named Stardust. What a beautiful job he did.
I hope it runs as good as it looks!

My engine, even after paying over $3,000 to have a shop restore it, always ran poorly.  I found main engine bolts were backing out, leaks out of every seam, poorly rebuilt carburetor, faulty fuel pump diaphragm install,  and only about 60 lb compression in all cylinders.  I decided to overhaul the entire engine myself. I replaced the scored pistons, rings, every gasket, seal, o-ring, and countless other parts. I cleaned and painted the engine and polished all bolts and metal parts. I also polished and clear powder coated the carburetor, fuel pump, heads, and various other parts with a home powder coat kit.  We’ll find out if my work paid off in the spring.                                      Dave Drew-Battle Creek Mi.
